Hello Mrs. Wright and I would like to be frank and apologize for the whole incident pertaining to the act of plagiarism on my part. Though, I must say it was very difficult for me to paraphrase what you wrote in your dissertation since your writing style was very coherent and comprehensible in your description of Bartolomeo Minio's life. If you wish for me to remove the plagiarized text, then I will do so upon your immediate request. I would be honored to help in any way to rectify this mistake. I hope that you will allow for your invaluable information to be included (as you see fit of course) into the ] article. I await for your response. ] 19:58, 13 September 2006 (UTC) |

Bartolomeo Minio
Hi Diana, I'm terribly sorry to hear about the plagiarism of your work. In fact, I ought to have spotted it myself: I had that page on my watchlist for a while because it had been the work of a certain user who had a long history of plagiaristic edits and other problematic work. Here's what happened: That user created the article as a tiny unsourced "stub" , then another user found your dissertation and added it as a reference with a short summary (), then the other guy went and copied all that text from your book ().
Please feel free to do whatever you like with the article now, or leave me a note about what you would like done with it. We can of course just delete the plagiarized text - it's sort of not very well integrated into the style of an encyclopedia article anyway, is it? Probably the best qualified person to replace it with a decent, concise summary would be you...
I see you've been making some other useful edits elsewhere, so I have hope you'll actually end up liking Misplaced Pages after all :-) Fut.Perf. ☼ 09:50, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
