Hank Parker's Outdoor Magazine is an American half-hour outdoor fishing television series hosted by Hank Parker The show made its debut on January 8, 1985, with its first guest the Parker kids. The series is usually taped in Orlando, Florida, Dallas, Texas, and Sand Springs, Oklahoma and aired on numerous networks nationwide. The show was created by Hank Parker and Michael Runnels, and was produced first by Parker/Runnels Productions, and then, by Hank Parker Productions.

Format

During each half-hour segment, Hank Parker invites guests to share some of the most outdoor fishing adventures. Guests included Frank O. Hill, Larry Bird, Dale Earnhardt, Bryan White, the Parker kids, and others. Each episode also featured a segment called "Kids Korner", where it features the Kids Korner kids giving their fishing tips and techniques. Hank is best known for wearing his trademark cap with the show's logo on it.

Theme song

For many years, the theme music for Hank Parker's Outdoor Magazine consisted of a harmonica instrumental tune with the man singing "The house needs painting, grass means morning, Louisiana, he's gone fishing". The closing version has the same tune, beginning with the "Do, do, do, do, do, do" part, and ending with "The house needs painting, grass means morning, Louisiana, Gone fishing".
