Kailash (also Kailas) is the name of a Himalayan peak and the mountain range which surrounds it, sometimes called the Kailash Range (also Kailas Range). The Kailash peak is the tallest in the range, at 6,718.2m (22,027 ft) high. According to Hindu mythology the god Shiva resides on the summit.
