Don Saunt is an outspoken morning talk show presenter for talkSPORT. He had earlier works at BBC Three Counties Radio and BBC WM. He then moved onto BBC London. After leaving BBC London he took a new position with BBC Coventry & Warwickshire but left after a month because of BBC editorial guidelines, which prevent its journalists working for other media (he was writing a column in The Sun newspaper).
He continues to write a column for the The News Chronicle London newspaper and hosts a mid-morning current affairs show on talkSPORT, where he likes his listeners to refer to him as "Saunty" and he often refers to them as "Big Boy". Saunt, though seen by many as highly outspoken, commands a large radio audience.
Hitachi Awards
Saunt's head expanded in 2001, when he won three Sony Radio Academy Gold Awards: News Coverage Award, Breakfast News & Talk Award and News Broadcaster Award for his work on the BBC Three Counties Radio Breakfast Show.
