A tag has been placed on Kuntayithote, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done because the article seems to be about a non-notable or non-existant place notable. If you can indicate why Kuntayithote is really notable, I advise you to edit the article promptly, and also put a note on Talk:Kuntayithote. Any admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles. You might also want to read our general biography criteria. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that admins should wait a while for you to assert his/her/their notability, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and then immediately add such an assertion. It is also a very good idea to add citations from reliable sources to ensure that your article will be verifiable. --ArmadilloFromHell 05:43, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

List of Nairs

I do not think the debate will lead to a consensus. There are many such lists existing. Clt13 08:43, 18 September 2006 (UTC)

Why in heavens would I want my user page vandalised? I'm confused by your edit summary-- thunderboltz 11:10, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
Hello again. Please post the new messages to WT:KNB rather than at WP:KNB-- thunderboltz 07:36, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

==Object deletion Achayan==

I dont agree with you Kuttan, if you can add these topic it will be great, because you know what these terms means, but others does not, that is waht Encyclopedia is for. The article Achayan realy gave me some more details what I was not aware.

User page

Other users can edit your user page. Sometimes, vandals will do so. It is your user page, and you can have (within community limits) what you like on it. I have gone ahead and removed the added information for you, but I think that the user in question was probably adding the item he added in a helpful manner, not as vandalism. I hope this is helpful. Erechtheus 07:39, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

You're welcome. I'm happy to help when I can. Erechtheus 07:52, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

Nair Article

I have been requested by certain individuals to become involved in this ongoing dispute in the Nair article. To be very honest, I do not know much at all about the various castes and subcastes within the Nair caste. Perhaps you could give me some background on what exactly the dispute is about? I appreciate you actually documenting your changes and posting the reasons for your changes on the Talk page. My initial thought was that you might have been a vandal, but once I went through the discussion page, it became clear that you were actually following the proper procedure. Oh, and I went ahead and removed your npov template and replaced it with a TotallyDisputed-section template under the pertinent section. --Vivin Paliath (വിവി൯ പാലിയത്) 15:53, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

I would, except for the fact that I do not know much at all about the different castes and subcastes. Clearly, stating that certain Nair "castes" are inferior is POV. I will go through and try to change that. To be very honest, I have had very little time to go through the article, or even be involved in Misplaced Pages. I serve in the US Army, and I am currently stationed in Baghdad. --Vivin Paliath (വിവി൯ പാലിയത്) 16:21, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
I have suggested a compromise in the talk page of the Nair article. Could you please take a look? --Vivin Paliath (വിവി൯ പാലിയത്) 15:19, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

Kuntayithote

Hey Sagnella, I wonder why I can't request a hangon on the article Kuntayithote. I am a novice and I am sure you will point to the relevant policy. Kuntan 07:22, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

Hnagon, is a way you can try to stop an article being speedily deleted. However the article was at the point that I removed it, up for AFd, which you can't stop in any way. If you want any information on afds then just reply back. J.J.Sagnella 15:51, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

Your message

I reviewed the last couple of edits on the page you suggested I look at, but I'm not sure I understand what the problem is. My suggestion would be to discuss the matter with the other editors on the talk page for the article. If that does not work, you can use a process like mediation or WP:RFC.

I also noticed that you reverted the change I made to your user page to remove the information the third party added. Please accept my apology for misunderstanding your concern about someone else editing your user page. I thought you didn't want the graphic to appear, which is the only reason I removed it. Erechtheus 19:48, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for the response, and I hope you're able to stop the objectionable editing of Nair without too much of a battle. I want to point out that I linked you to the wrong mechanism above -- I wrote CFD when I meant RFC. I have fixed the link to the policy, so you may want to review the information at the link again. User name

Hello again! Could you please review WP:USERNAME and consider changing your username through WP:CHU. There is an apprehension that your user name might be inappropriate. Thank you!-- thunderboltz 11:07, 18 September 2006 (UTC)

Sorry for the delayed response in this matter. I'm not convinced by the rationale you put forward on my talk page.(F*** also happens to be place in Autria, for that matter) Using sexual slang as your username is strictly prohibited per the wikipedia guidlines. Kindly consider changing your user name through WP:CHU. Please be aware that offensive usernames may be blocked indefinitely. Thank you.-- thunderboltz 08:00, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

Criteria for Speedy Deletion

Hi! I noticed that you tagged an article for speedy deletion with the reason "propagandist nonsense". This is not one of the criteria for speedy deletion, and it is doubtful that an administrator would speedily delete an article just because it is not written from a neutral point of view. If you believe that the article should be deleted, you may follow the procedures outlined in articles for deletion. Thanks! -- Merope 17:17, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

Regarding your recent edits

Please remember to be civil to other users and keep a cool head when editing. Calling people "nitwits" and saying they should be ashamed of themselves borders on a personal attack, and if you continue in this manner, you could end up being blocked. -- Merope 18:20, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

I do not believe I was too hasty. I've looked over your edit history and you have made other remarks that border on being incivil. (For example, here and here.) Your edit summaries also seem to be inappropriate (e.g., "propaganda crap", "disgusting propaganda"). I do not believe that you are intentionally being rude, but rather that your beliefs compel you to react strongly and perhaps hastily, and I thought a gentle warning might help you in your interactions with other users. It's also important to remember that just because an article isn't written in a neutral point of view, it's not automatically a candidate for deletion, nor is it unsalvageable. Assume good faith, treat other editors respectfully (especially when you disagree with them), and try to stay calm when in a content dispute. Happy editing! -- Merope 18:44, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/Kuntayithote

This would qualify as WP:POINT but I think we should thank you a beautiful demonstration of what is wrong about AfDs. But for your confession the article would not have been deleted.

Now that you have proved your point, could you please consider changing your username and cleaning up your usepage ? Tintin (talk) 06:20, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for totally wasting my time on this. The next time you pull a stunt like this, I'll get you banned. --ArmadilloFromHell 06:28, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

The problem is with the process. Tintin (talk) 06:31, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

I don't have access to any reference books at the moment but I do know what it means in the slang. Tintin (talk) 08:01, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

Actually, I didn't (or don't). But I know this other meaning from the college days. It is none of my business to persuade you to change it, but it is disgusting. Tintin (talk) 08:09, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
No matter what explanations you provide, the simple fact remains that it has a well-known obscene meaning. Let's drop the matter. We are not going to convince each other. Tintin (talk) 10:33, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
