Hank Parker's Outdoor Magazine is an American half-hour outdoor fishing television series hosted by Hank Parker The show made its debut in syndication on January 12, 1985. The show was created in 1984 by the team of Hank Parker and Michael Runnels. In 1986, the show was picked up by TNN, and stayed on the air until 2003. The show was picked up by the Outdoor Life Network in 2003, and ran until 2004. In 2004, the show was picked up by The Outdoor Channel. The show was produced first by Parker/Runnels Productions from the show's debut in 1985 until 1998, and then, by Hank Parker Productions from 1998-present. In 1998, Michael Runnels left the company, and Hank Parker formed his own production company called Hank Parker Productions.
Format
During each half-hour segment, Hank Parker invites guests to share some of the most outdoor fishing adventures. Guests included Frank O. Hill, Larry Byrd, Dale Earnhardt, Bryan White, the Parker kids, and others. Each episode also featured a segment called "Kids Korner", and was sponsored by Mercury Outboards. This segment featured the Kids Korner kids giving their fishing tips and techniques. Another segment of the show called "Tip of the Week", where it shows Parker giving various fishing tips and techniques.
