The Altar Boys are a Christian rock band from California, formed in 1982 . They are Mike Stand (vocals, songwriting, and guitar), Jeff Crandall (drums), Steve Pannier (guitars), Mark Robertson (bass), and Ric Alba.

The Altar Boys helped pioneer Christian rock music. They were one of the first bands to break the mold of the traditional, Christian music of the 70s and early 80s. Their sound was heavily influence by the punk rock scene in Southern California.
