Though Saddleworth itself has been situatuated in the administrative county of the ] since the change of the boundaries in 1974, and no longer within the administrative county of The ], it still lies within the traditional boundary of Yorkshire; a fact which The Saddleworth White Rose Society feels many people in Saddleworth are unaware of.
