Majiwada is located at the center of the Thane city, India. Majiwada is surrounded by three important roads which pass through the city. These include the Eastern Express Highway, Ghodbunder road and Thane-Bhiwandi road.

Local economy has increased recently due to the entry of Lodha builders and Rustomji. The Lake City Mall and Cine Wonder are at walkable distance from maijiwada. Some of the larger retailers and restaurants occupying the mall include Big Bazaar, McDonald's and Woodland. A new shopping mall facing Eastern Express Highway is under construction.

Majiwada has a church, a Hanuman temple, Sai Baba Temple, Changai devi mandir, Lord Shiva temple, Durga Mata temple, the famous Asha Pura mandir and also a Mosque . A dedicated TMT (Thane Municipal Transport) Bus service is provided, last stop name is Majiwada Village. There is also an English Medium school with the college inside the Majiwada village . Second from majiwada is Sachinam and third Majiwada Naka. Rickshaw services for Teen-Hath naka and Mulund check naka are available on a sharing basis throughout the day, departing from Majiwada Naka.

Healthcare facilities in and around Majiwada include Wavikar Eye Institute, Jupiter Hospital and Currae Specialty Hospital.

Areas surrounding Majiwada are Vrindavan Society, Rutu Park, Golden Die Company, Oswal Park, COSMOS Tower, Golden Park, Muktai Nagar,Gokul Nagar, Kapurbavdi and Balkum
