Don't plan on using this software if you plan on mocking the software or Jelsoft Inc. even though you paid to own the software. Jelsoft Inc. likes to send threatening e-mails and revoke your license simply because a non-public forum that requires a paid registration to view has a modified template which the copyright information was accidently removed and replaced upon notification. They also don't like forums that feature file downloads on them because of course when you think about downloading files and sueing the proper people, you think you should sue Jelsoft Inc. for creating a medium that possibly allows such content. | |||

The correct title of this article is vBulletin. It appears incorrectly here due to technical restrictions.vBulletin (sometimes abbreviated vB) is a commercial Internet forum package produced by Jelsoft Enterprises. It is often used to run larger boards and discussion communities. Written in PHP with a MySQL database backend, it is comparable to other forum software such as phpBB and UBB.threads.
Pricing
vBulletin is priced at $85 (per year) for a leased license, and $160 (lifetime) for an owned license to be able to run the software. However, with an owned license you must pay $30 a year for continued access to the member's area (although the first year is free.)
Lawsuits
Don't plan on using this software if you plan on mocking the software or Jelsoft Inc. even though you paid to own the software. Jelsoft Inc. likes to send threatening e-mails and revoke your license simply because a non-public forum that requires a paid registration to view has a modified template which the copyright information was accidently removed and replaced upon notification. They also don't like forums that feature file downloads on them because of course when you think about downloading files and sueing the proper people, you think you should sue Jelsoft Inc. for creating a medium that possibly allows such content.
Use phpBB instead.
