New Years new page backlog drive
Hello Samee, thank you for your efforts reviewing new pages!Announcing the NPP New Year Backlog Drive!
We have done amazing work so far in December to reduce the New Pages Feed backlog by over 3000 articles! Now is the time to capitalise on our momentum and help eliminate the backlog!
The backlog drive will begin on January 1 and run until January 29. Prize tiers and other info can be found HERE.
Awards will be given in tiers in two categories:
- The total number of reviews completed for the month.
- The minimum weekly total maintained for all four weeks of the backlog drive.
NOTE: It is extremely important that we focus on quality reviewing. Despite our goal of reducing the backlog as much as possible, please do not rush while reviewing.
If you wish to opt-out of future mailings, go here. — TonyBallioni (talk) 20:24, 30 December 2017 (UTC)

Is there any reason why suppress redirect was used? feminist (talk) 15:20, 4 January 2018 (UTC)
- Regarding Talk:Imperial cult (ancient Rome): It (talkpage move with suppression) was not done deliberately (was dealing with main space, associated talkpage was also affected). I was about to move back this title (Imperial cult of ancient Rome/temp) per WP:ROBIN. sami 16:48, 4 January 2018 (UTC)

Hi. Talk:University College of Osteopathy#Requested move 20 December 2017 was clearly a no consensus, or at best a relist. Please undo your close. James (/contribs) 14:13, 5 January 2018 (UTC)
- I'd have no problem if you ask any administrator or any other user (at RM) to revert the closure. Thanks. sami 17:31, 5 January 2018 (UTC)
---- For record: The title was moved back. link 13:24, 15 January 2018 (UTC)

Hi Samee – with regard to your relisting of the requested move debate at Talk:List of professional sports leagues by revenue#Requested move 5 January 2018, you had relisted it shortly after it had been "officially" opened. This has played a little havoc with the RMCD bot, as you can see at the bottom of this table . I removed your relisting since it had been done the same day of the opening, so please wait until at least seven days have passed after a debate is opened before relisting the discussion. Thank you and Happy New Year! Paine Ellsworth 15:59, 5 January 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks for the message. The now struck signatures at Talk:List of professional sports leagues by revenue#Requested move 5 January 2018 bemused me. Thanks again! sami 17:34, 5 January 2018 (UTC)
Your contributed article, Moin Nawaz Warraich
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Moin Nawaz Warraich. First, thank you for your contribution; Misplaced Pages relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Moin Nawaz Warriach. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Misplaced Pages. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Moin Nawaz Warriach. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.
If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Misplaced Pages looks forward to your future contributions. Saqib (talk) 04:21, 17 January 2018 (UTC)
- If someone has created pages with minor spelling mistakes in the title, one should correct the page title by renaming it instead of start creating new pages on the same topic. In Moin Nawaz Warriach case, I used the name spelling as per the data on the official website of Punjab Assembly so no mistake on my part. Further, you noted in your edit summary "One RS: Moin Nawaz Warraich". The sources can be expanded, but is not a valid reason to overtake the page over a new one which has unreliable sources such as "www.electionpakistani.com." Thank you. --Saqib (talk) 05:06, 17 January 2018 (UTC)
- No mistake on my part as well. I didn't know that the article Moin Nawaz Warriach did exist (before this CSD A10 alert) otherwise I'd have moved it to Moin Nawaz Warraich instead of starting a new. samee 05:13, 17 January 2018 (UTC)
(edit conflict) By one RS, I didn't mean that it contained one source. I mentioned one source to cite the spellings. samee 05:13, 17 January 2018 (UTC)
- Fair enough. I have created over 400 BLPs on Pakistani MPA's two days ago, and I assume many of them are not correctly titled. If you get some spare time and willing to correct the titles, please do to avoid re-creation of duplicate pages in the future. --Saqib (talk) 05:18, 17 January 2018 (UTC)
- Sure thing! But I don't re-create habitually. samee 05:22, 17 January 2018 (UTC)
