"Arguru"
Song

"Arguru" is a progressive house instrumental written and produced by Canadian music producer deadmau5, co-written by British producer Chris Lake. It was released in 2007 as a single, as well as an EP by the same name in 2008.

Background

The track was written in memory of the late Juan Antonio Arguelles Rius nicknamed Arguru, a well-known audio software developer and musician, who was killed in a car crash the year before.

deadmau5's 2010 song "I Said" and subsequent remixes by Michael Woods use the same melodic structure.

Composition

"Arguru" is a progressive house song with a tempo of 128 beats per minute and is written in the key of E minor.
