NPP Backlog Drive Appreciation

Hi. When making this edit on such a large scale, it might be a good idea to try doing it in smallish batches over several days/weeks. Otherwise you're likely to end up flooding people's watchlists. Thanks! – Uanfala (talk) 00:11, 1 February 2018 (UTC)_Wikiproject"> _Wikiproject">

Invitation to join Women in Red

Thank you for creating several articles on women and their works over the past few weeks. We have become aware of your contributions thanks to research undertaken by Bobo.03 at the University of Minnesota.
We think you might be interested in becoming a member of our WikiProject Women in Red where we are actively trying to reduce Misplaced Pages's content gender gap.
You can join by using the box at the top of the WiR page. But if you would like to receive news of our activities without becoming a member, you can simply add your name to our mailing list. In any case, thank you for actively contributing to the coverage of women (currently, 17.41% of English Misplaced Pages's biographies).

@EktaS:, I declined your draft on 23 Jan because it did not cite references. We need at least one reference on biographies of living people. I've declined it again today because it lacks inline citations and reliable sources. IMDB and YouTube are not reliable sources. Please read general guidelines at WP:GNG and subject specific at WP:NACTOR.  samee  08:29, 7 February 2018 (UTC)

New Page Reviewer Newsletter

Hello Samee, thank you for your efforts in reviewing new pages!
The NPP backlog at the end of the drive with the number of unreviewed articles by creation date. Red is older than 90 days, orange is between 90 and 30 days old, and green is younger than 30 days.

Backlog update:

  • The new page backlog is currently at 3819 unreviewed articles, with a further 6660 unreviewed redirects.
  • We are very close to eliminating the backlog completely; please help by reviewing a few extra articles each day!

New Year Backlog Drive results:

  • We made massive progress during the recent four weeks of the NPP Backlog Drive, during which the backlog reduced by nearly six thousand articles and the length of the backlog by almost 3 months!

General project update:

  • ACTRIAL will end it's initial phase on the 14th of March. Our goal is to reduce the backlog significantly below the 90 day index point by the 14th of March. Please consider helping with this goal by reviewing a few additional pages a day.
  • Reviewing redirects is an important and necessary part of New Page Patrol. Please read the guideline on appropriate redirects for advice on reviewing redirects. Inappropriate redirects can be re-targeted or nominated for deletion at RfD.

Eurasian tree sparrow

I reverted your GF edit; American tree sparrow is a type of bird, not a type of American (: Jimfbleak - talk to me? 16:00, 9 February 2018 (UTC)

Thank you!
I've adjusted the rule to avoid the singular, due to its context dependence.   ~ Tom.Reding (talkdgaf17:00, 9 February 2018 (UTC)

Archiving Google Books

Hi, I don't understand why you are attempting to archive links to Google Books, as in this edit. Is there some guidance somewhere that suggests it should be done? - Sitush (talk) 09:28, 11 February 2018 (UTC)

It was not intentional. They got archived with other links.  samee  09:31, 11 February 2018 (UTC)
OK, thanks. I've mentioned it on Cyberpower678's talk page. - Sitush (talk) 09:40, 11 February 2018 (UTC)
