The name University of Wisconsin can have several meanings:
- University of Wisconsin–Madison, which was founded in 1849 as the University of Wisconsin, and is now the flagship campus of the University of Wisconsin System.
- The enlarged University of Wisconsin which included Madison (1849), Milwaukee (1956), Green Bay (1968), and Parkside (1968) campuses.
