Doctor Nefarious Tropy (ドクター エヌ トロピー, Dokutā Eta Toropī), commonly shortened to N. Tropy, is a fictional character from Crash Bandicoot.
His name is a play on the word "entropy".
Overview
Nefarious Tropy is the main villain in the Crash Bandicoot series. He is the self-proclaimed master of time and quantum warp technology. He seems to be an acquaintance of Uka Uka, called upon by the latter to help take over the world in Crash Bandicoot: Warped. However, he tends to get frustrated and tired when he repeatedly misses his target, as evidenced when Crash battles N. Tropy. This flaw helps Crash defeat N. Tropy, sending his Time Twister machine into disarray, turning him into a baby along with Cortex. He was the third boss of the game.
N.Tropy's weapon is a silver fork which can produce fireballs, lasers and blue things that are capable of slicing the bandicoot's head off. He wears golden brown armour with a big clock in the centre. He wears a silly hat that is tall and also has a clock in the centre. He also wears a white skirt and has skinny legs.
N. Tropy later mastered the relic races in Crash Team Racing and later Crash Nitro Kart, whilst also helping Doctor Neo Cortex with his super weapon, Crunch Bandicoot. He caused mass havoc when he teamed up with hypno-master N. Trance but was thwarted once more.
N. Tropy's latest appearance was in Crash Twinsanity as the fifth boss alongside Doctor Nitrus Brio when they, using the vast resources from Doctor N. Gin's company, hunted for treasure. They were easily thwarted by Spyro the Dragon. It seems now that after the events of Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex, N. Tropy is no longer working aside the likes of N. Cortex, but instead working with N. Brio and N. Trance, although still on the same side as Uka Uka.
N.Tropy is going to appear in Crash Boom Bang!
