Help!

Hi, you just deleted the article that I spent HOURS working on, claiming it is a blatant ad. Ok? I'm pretty enthusiastic about the KaosPilots, sure, (I'm a student) but perhaps you might help me out with a couple of pointers on making the article more objective? The institution itself is recognised by universities in Oslo, Malmö and Aarhus (Norway, Sweden and Denmark), and has a lot of coverage in Scandinavia. Its one of my first articles on the site, so I will be pretty sad if all I get for my work is "blatand ad" and then deletion.. Heeelp!! Espenkaospilot.dk

Joy of Satan

I was thinking about labelling that article for speedy deletion as G1 nonsense but did find which is labelled to be from the Joy of Satan Ministries and thus I think the sect in question may actually exist. –– Lid 02:09, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

They do, and they were part of the downfall of a scion of the national socialist movement in the U.S. recently. so they are quite notable. What's more, all that was said in the 'deleted nonsense' has been said in the press albeit in a slightly more believeable style. Not sure if they need their own entry though. But it might be an idea to research/google a bit more thoroughly before marking something for speedy delete in future?Merkinsmum 02:31, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

Copywright violation?

Ok here we go. What is the alleged copywright violation of an article titled "Who is black?" How on earth can you violate a copywright violation for the title of an article! There is a "Who is a Jew?" article, and THAT is not violating a copywright. The information in the articles are not violating any copywright. Cuckolded

Why did you delete my article without even telling me about it. If there was something wrong with it I could have tryed to fix it. There is such a word http://www.dictionary.net/cuckold so I just don't see why you deleted it.Coorsman 07:25, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

User Zaphnathpaaneah

I'm shocked it took this long for someone to block him. He totally destroyed the black people article, transforming it into an uncited POV personal essay and edit wars causing it to be protected. He even managed to destroy the black people talk page which is dominated by his ranting, raving, and race baiting. I got so tired of trying to deal with him that I put all my energy into the Definitions of black people article. If someone can redirect the protected and POV black people article to the well cited and neutral Definitions of black people article, that would be great. Timelist 09:05, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

It was actually not his work. He just redirected it to a strange title he liked better. He created none of the actual content. He didn't even produce the parts you feel were plagarism. Timelist 16:29, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

I do think a permanent block is warranted. He contributes nothing productive but just inserts his own POV and in a very uncited way. For some strange reason he is obsessed with the idea that various dark skinned people who live in South Asia and the Pacific islands are black, even though he does not belong to those ethnicities and can not speak for them. When we try to explain to him that this is one perspective, but that a lot of people (most?) define black people as only those of African ancestry and that we need to present all views in a neutral way, he goes ballistic and claims we're trying to tell black people who they are and that the article must state as a matter of fact who black people are (as he defines them) and ignore the census, dictionaries, biologists, and African-Americans who reserve the term for only those of African ancestry. He's very wierd and very fanatical and seems to be on some kind of strange and pointless political crusade to get dark skinned people of the world to unite under the label black against white oppression. I can't thank you enough. Now that you unprocted the black people article I just merged the content from the article he was trying to retitle into the black people article to replace all the uncited POV he put there. It's great having you around and the more you can participate the better. Point of order....

Hi, A page you just deleted and protected from recreation, Jason Dunn (singer), did, in fact, assert the notability of its subject as a member of Hawk Nelson. Other band members have pages. The page was, of course, dreadful, but did appear to contain some valid information (admittedly I'm dubious about the pet pancake) and might have benefited from a swifty cleanup. You might know something about this subject ot this user that I don't, but it looks to me like you might have just bitten a newbie.... TheMadBaron 01:18, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

stupid question maybe but....

Is this new? If it is I heartily welcome it. Doing new page patrolling I'm regularly saddened by the relative tolerance for users opening attack pages and never understood why we would offer a second chance to anyone so obviously abusing Misplaced Pages. Thanks for your answer. Actually, in the meantime, I did a bit of research myself and it turns out that this template is pretty controversial and even was nominated for deletion. Somehow, I think there's an intermediate template missing. When I'm doing patrolling my only options for the talk page of someone who creates an attack page are the very mild {{attack}}, {{attack-n}} or {{blp}} but I don't understand why we should stick to WP:BITE in the case of people that create a page on someone that reads "X is a ******". Hello again Lucky, I was hoping you could help me with the article Mugumbo. I put a db speedy deletion tag on it and the creator removed the tag. I warned him. I was Deleted? Twice?

I recently tried to add an article about a Podcast to Misplaced Pages (The Rogue Radio Podcast). I know there are other Podcasts mentioned on here. I had the history, cast, as much as I could think of at the time, but within minutes it was deleted. I figured it was just a fluke, so I reposted it and fixed a couple of the formattign issues I saw (since I'm new to creating articles and editing). Once again, it was deleted. I checked the deletion logs and saw that both were deleted by Lucky 6.9, but I don't understand why, I wasn't advertising, it was honest information about a growing podcast. I received the following error: NN Podcast & NN Podcast Repost Please Lucky, let me know what's wrong with the article so I can tweak it and repost it.

Aggressive new user at the black people article

I believe it was you who recently blocked Zaph from the black people article which we all greatly appreciate. But now a strange new user has appeared called Salsassin and him and Deeceevoice (a long time partner of Zaph) have added a ton of uncited material to the article in a very short period of time. Anyway I suspect that Salsassin is a sock puppet Zaph created a while back and pulls out whenever he needs to. This user also posted some comfrontational stuff on the talk page and appears to be well on his way to violating the 3 R rule.__Whatdoyou 17:59, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

WAD Studios

I added an article that discussed the Bubble Tent and WAD Studios. I found articles that described members of WAD as the Boy Scouts who helped Briceville, but I doubt those should be up as they don't mention WAD. One article talks about Andy as a film-maker, but as a MTSU student. Would any of these work. Also, some of the videos are starting to show back up on YouTube. It must have been user error on WAD Studios. I don't know if their reemergence there would add any notability or not as anyone can use it, but you can at least see that they do indeed make short films.

Hi there. The page was deleted and protected with the reason "Chronic NN leet speak. Ick." You're right, it is leetspeak but "Im in ur base..." is also a fairly prevalent Internet/gaming culture meme along the lines of All your base are belong to us or Pwn. Any chance of either the content being restored or moved to a gaming culture meme page?

I'm just someone who was trying to find the origin of the phrase, so I have no idea if the page content was actually worthwhile. Even if not, it would be helpful to point people towards Computer and video game memes rather than just leet.

I'll take it to Afd then. There are nowhere the number of Google hits you claim (~1000), and most are Wiki or mirrors. I'm not sure what you know of UK culture, but just about every community from village upwards has at least one band.
