  •  Guyana — After being mired in controversy following the crowning of Rafeiya Husain as the representative to compete for the Miss Universe 2017 crown on the international stage, Guyana has now been reportedly banned from participating in the pageant for the next two years.

Designations

  1. CHINA — Qin was appointed to represent China at Miss Universe 2018 pageant, by Yue-Sai Kan the President of Miss Universe China pageant after the 2017 winner, Qiu Qiang has been dethroned from her title along with the 1st Runner-up. Qin crowned the 2nd Runner-up at the Miss Universe China 2017 pageant.
  2. TRINIDAD & TOBAGO — Martrecia Alleyne was appointed to represent the Trinidad & Tobago at Miss Universe 2018 pageant, by Jenny Douglas the President of Miss Universe Trinidad & Tobago pageant after the 2018 edition of the pageant was not held due to undisclosed reason. Alleyne crowned the 1st runner-up at the Miss Universe Trinidad & Tobago 2017 pageant.
