Tim Hughes is a Christian worship leader, and songwriter, who is currently Director of Worship at Holy Trinity Brompton. The son of an Anglican priest, Hughes attended Soul Survivor Watford Church in England, and was Head of Worship there, but recently moved to his new post at he moved to Holy Trinity Brompton, and has set up the worshipcentral project there, along with fellow worship leader Al Gordon.
Recording career
Tim Hughes has recoreded and released two albums: Here I Am to Worship in 2001, and When Silence Falls in 2004. His Dove Award-winning song Here I Am to Worship has become a world renown worship song for the church. Other well known tracks of his include Jesus You Alone, There must be more than this, and When all around is fading.
Currently, Hughes is recording a new album at Chapel Lane Studios in Hereford. Tracks include Out Of The Darkness, Happy Day, Centre Of It All, God Of Justice, Everything, The Highest And The Greatest and Clinging To The Cross, which were previewed at Soul Survivor 2006.
Other
Hughes released his first book, Passion For Your Name in 2003, in which he gives his advice on many issues, including worship leading and songwriting.
