It was announced in July 2018 that a remake of the 1988 Tom Holland horror film was in development, with Lars Klevberg directing, and Liv Tyler reportedly being sought to star. Aubrey Plaza, Brian Tyree Henry and Gabriel Bateman cast and filming beginning in Vancouver.
