Jicomé Distrito municipal de jicomé is a town in the Valverde province of the Dominican Republic in the northwest of the country. Its belong to the most populous region in the country El Cibao .
Economy
The main economic activities of the municipality are tobacco, Rice , milk , eggs and plantain.
Other economic activities include cattle ranches, industry and commerce. There are various dairy product industries in the municipality, as well a tobacco factory, bakeries, carpentry shops, cement block factories, gas stations, repair shops, hardware stores, among others.
Notable people from Jicomé
Hipólito Antonio Pichardo Balbina (born August 22, 1969) is a Dominican former right-handed pitcher in Major League Baseball who played for three teams between 1992 and 2002. He batted and threw right-handed.
