Jicomé or Distrito municipal de jicomé is a town municipal district of the municipality of Esperanza, located northeast in the Valverde Province of the Dominican Republic. Its in the central most populous religion in the country cibao. 101 mi (or 163 km) North-West of Santo Domingo, the country's capital city.
Economy
Agriculture is the main economic activity in Jicomé, since its terrains are fit for growing a variety of crops such as rice, banana, Plaintain, cassava, onion,sweet potato, among others. Tobacco and sorghum
Other economic activities include cattle ranches, industry and commerce. There are various dairy product industries in the municipality, as well a bakeries, carpentry shops, cement block factories, repair shops, hardware stores, ,Grocery store, sportswear and footwear retailer ,among others.
