Out of Sight was a 1998 movie directed by Steven Soderbergh. It was the first of several collaborations with George Clooney.

Other cast members are Jennifer Lopez, Ving Rhames, Michael Keaton and Dennis Farina as well as Soderbergh regulars Don Cheadle, Luis Guzmán and Catherine Keener. There is a cameo by Samuel L. Jackson at the very end of the movie.

Based on the novel of the same name by Elmore Leonard, Out of Sight is regarded as Soderbergh's comeback movie after several critically acclaimed but financially rather unsatifying movies. It was nominated for two Academy Awards (adapted screenplay and editing) and a large number of other prizes. It won the Edgar Allan Poe award for best movie and the National Society of Film Critics awards for best film, screenplay, and director.

The story revolves around the love relationship of a serial bank robber (Clooney) with a U.S. marshal (Lopez).
