Miss Universe 2019 will be the 68th Miss Universe pageant. It is scheduled to be held at South Korea for the second time. Catriona Gray of the Philippines will crown her successor at the end of the event.

Background

Location

On 19 December 2018, in an interview with DZMM, a radio station in the Philippines, businessman, former governor of Ilocos Sur and Miss Universe 2016 main sponsor, Chavit Singson stated that the Miss Universe 2019 will be held in South Korea. However, an official announcement regarding the host nation and city has not yet been made by the Miss Universe Organization. He also stated that North Korea will send its first delegate in 2019.

VIETNAM — Hoàng Thùy was appointed Miss Universe Vietnam 2019 by Dương Trương Thiên Lý, the national director of the Miss Universe Vietnam pageant. Thùy was the 1st runner-up at the Miss Universe Vietnam 2017 pageant.
