Henson joined after Travis Jenkins left in 2001 and has been recorded in all of Pillar's major albums except their first, Above. Henson also plays guitar for Brantley Gilbert. Originally from Cary, North Carolina, Henson now lives in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma with his wife, Lindsey Henson, and two children, Hannah and Noah II.
