Dianne Claire Buswell (born 6 May 1989) is an Australian ballroom dancer. She was a professional dancer on the Australian version of Dancing with the Stars in 2015. Buswell became a professional dancer on the British series Strictly Come Dancing in 2017, being partnered with Reverend Richard Coles. In the 2018 series, she reached the final with partner Joe Sugg.
Early life
Dianne Buswell was born in Bunbury, Australia. She started ballroom dancing at age 4.
Career
Dianne and her brother Andrew Buswell were Adult New Vogue WA Champions for 2008 and 2010. She also appeared on So You Think You Can Dance Australia. Buswell joined the live dance show Burn the Floor in January 2011. She joined Australia's Dancing with the Stars in 2015, paired with Australian AFL star Jude Bolton; they were the fifth couple eliminated. Following her elimination from Dancing with the Stars, Buswell rejoined the Burn the Floor tour.
Strictly Come Dancing
Buswell joined the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing in 2017. Her celebrity partner for the 2017 series was the Reverend Richard Coles. They were the second couple eliminated in the series, losing the dance-off to Simon Rimmer and Karen Clifton in a unanimous decision.
She was paired with television presenter Tim Vincent for Strictly Come Dancing's 2017 Children in Need special.
For the sixteenth series of the show in 2018, she was paired with Joe Sugg, in which they were runners-up alongside Faye Tozer and Giovanni Pernice and Ashley Roberts and Pasha Kovalev, losing to Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton.
In December 2018, Buswell was announced to be joining the 'Strictly Come Dancing Live!' Tour lineup. Alongside her partner Joe Sugg, they won more shows on the tour than any other couple that year.
