I've added the "{{tl|prod}}" template to the article ], suggesting that it be deleted according to the ] process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Misplaced Pages's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also ] and ]). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Misplaced Pages, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at ]. You may remove the {{tl|dated prod}} template, and the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to ], where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. ] 14:19, 26 November 2006 (UTC) |

Star Trek depictions
Your artistic renditions of Kira and Sisko are appreciated but how do they help the article? According to WP:Images, an image should be "relevant to the article they appear in and be of sufficient notability (relative to the article's topic)." The images you placed were just fan art done by yourself. I know you are an admin but I still do not see any rationale for fan art done by the user themselves should be on an encyclopedic page. - They weren't by me. The reason I included them is because they are free license images, as opposed to the fair use images already present. -- Zanimum 16:54, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

Hi, Zanimum
I have questions regarding on the Somali wikipedia. I will wait your response on where should post my questions. My account at so.wikupedia.org is mimursal. Thanks in advance.

I am a Somali native speaker and a user of so.wikipedia.org (Somali wikipedia). there are some misused pages to be removed and some other translation to be done on the main page. I am not sure if you speak Somali if sow we could communicate in Somali. I would like to volunteer the Administrator/sysop work for so.wikipedia.org. --Mimursal 20:26, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry about the delay to reply. I see you have discovered "Requests for permissions". If you need my support, I will vote for you. -- Zanimum 15:09, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
Don’t worry about the delay. Thanks for the support offer.
I saw that you have indicated your support for me on Requests_for_permissions on meta wiki, but Walter has over crossed that support. So if you are still in the mood, please do it on this Requests_for_adminship page. --Mimursal 09:03, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
Image:Marxist sandra l smith.JPG
Thanks for uploading Image:Marxist sandra l smith.JPG. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Misplaced Pages articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Hroðulf (or Hrothulf) (Talk) 09:44, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
Licensing Images
Hello there:
I saw your note about licensing images on my talk page. But for the most part, to my knowledge I have been using the GFDL/Creative Commons by SA when uploading my pics to WikiMedia, such as this one I did earlier in the week: http://commons.wikimedia.org/Image:GreenHead01-AltesMuseum-Berlin.png. So I must be missing out on something then; is at an earlier image you are interested in? (or am I missing something when it comes to the GFDL/CC?)
Cheers! Captmondo 22:49, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
- Great to here you've started! There were a few ones from like two years ago or more, in the TTC and Toronto folders. You're okay with these being relicensed? -- Zanimum 14:38, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
- In that case, not a problem -- go for it! Captmondo 10:35, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

- Thx. I am also an admin for the Inupiak Misplaced Pages, if that's relevant. Also, my writing stats for Wikinews are actually 105 now, thanks to the Toronto/Brampton/Mississauga election interviews. -- Zanimum 18:25, 11 November 2006 (UTC)

List of longest running U.S. cable television series
I think I'm about 36 hours away from turning User:B.Wind/TV list sandbox into List of longest running U.S. cable television series as I had a particularly fruitful editing session last night. Any feedback you have will be most appreciated (please feel free to edit - the list probably needs a fresh perspective from someone without dyslexia). If it all looks good to everybody, I'll trim the comments and move the rest on Tuesday (November 15) or Wednesday (November 16). B.Wind 11:26, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
Virtual classroom
I spotted your message on the VC talk page - thanks for the question and comment. The Virtual classroom is in its experimental stage. If it grows into a valuable resource, then perhaps it can be moved to the Misplaced Pages namespace in the future. I've brainstormed a potential itinerary in my workshop (accessible from the header of my user page), and welcome your suggestions. You are also welcome to participate in the discussions in the classroom itself. What interfaces do you use to navigate and work on Misplaced Pages? (Please post your answers in the relevant sections on the VC page. Hope to see you there. The Transhumanist 23:51, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
Image tagging for Image:Movie_DVD_cover_batman.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Movie_DVD_cover_batman.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Misplaced Pages's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

J. R. R. Tolkien
Thanks for noticing that, Kizor. Perhaps a semi-protect is in order, do you think? -- Zanimum 18:29, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
- Yes! We're losing. ASAP, please. --Kizor 18:31, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you. --Kizor 18:48, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
Actually, I respectfully disagree. Please see WP:SPP#When_not_to_use_semi-protection. The Main Page Featured Article should not be protected, and certainly not for two hours. savidan 20:18, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
Featured articles of the day
Please do not protect the featured article of the day for more than a few minutes to clean up vandalism (or perhaps longer in the event of serious vandalism, but we need not spill any beans as to what constitutes that). I have unprotected the page. Thanks. Cowman109 21:04, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

Please use edit summaries
I have been trying to find edits in the edit history of Template:In the news and you not using edit summaries is quite unhelpful. You should also used edit summaries if you make substantial edits to any other article or Misplaced Pages page. —Centrx→talk • 07:54, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

Sherrie Westin
I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Sherrie Westin, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Misplaced Pages's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also Misplaced Pages:What Misplaced Pages is not and Misplaced Pages:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Misplaced Pages, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at Talk:Sherrie Westin. You may remove the {{dated prod}} template, and the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.
