GAA comments
Hi i've noticed you left a number of comment of talk pages of gaa articials such as Talk:Tyrone GAA ,Talk:Joe Brolly and Talk:Francis Bellew i said this on the tyrone articial and will repeat it here talk pages are for discussing the articals such as problems and suggested improvements their a plenty of place to the net to banter but wiki isnt one of them

Hello there
Just noticed some of your articles here and there, and you seem to be from around South Derry? What town(land), if you don't mind the question? Magherafelt myself. Pauric 22:32, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
I went to the Convent too, although I didn't actually finish it (was kicked out at 14, stupid mistake). I guess you'd be the year above me then, I'd have been getting my A Level results last week. --Pauric 15:46, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
GAA Project
Hi i noticed you readded yourself to the gaa project make sure you add it too your watchlist so you'll see changes as they happen (Gnevin 18:25, 14 September 2006 (UTC))
Celtic Park, Derry
I'm not sure my version Páirc an Cheiltigh is right either. Tuiseal Ginideach can be hard to get right. I'm also not sure quite if it's an accurate translation. It kinda means "the Park of the Celtic Person". Some of the more active members of wiki as gaeilge might be better at finding an accurate translation than me, I'm afraid. Good luck.

Infobox note
Added that note dont know what the other note was for if you tell me i'll add (Gnevin 13:40, 16 September 2006 (UTC))
Derry GAA players
Hi there. I've noticed you've been creating a lot of good articles on members of the Derry GAA. One small thing, when you use counties for place of birth it's not County Derry, it's County Londonderry as per WP:IMOS. Also for country of birth it's not Ireland it would be Northern Ireland, County Londonderry isn't in the country of Ireland. Other than that keep up the good work on the articles. Ben W Bell talk 15:22, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
GAA Articials
Sorry to bother you but just something i've notice on many articials and i know it's not just you but make sure you the intro of articials says Gaelic Athletic Association with a link instead of GAA or GAA as GAA means nothing to people who just happen on articials (Gnevin 23:55, 20 September 2006 (UTC))
Your welcome
No prob, its so handy when its all well displayed, i love following every county championship!! Keep up the good work, the Derry pages are getting deadlier by the day. I'd place my bets on Ballinderry for the Derry Championship. Frainc 17:52 26 September 2006
Irish hunger strikers
I changed a few things on the infobox, added the Irish section, and changed it to green, although I'm not sure about the green, just it seemed like it would be a suiting colour. I'd be happy if you could play around with it a bit, maybe even remove the colour. I'm colourblind anyway. :P Pauric 17:25, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
Derry/Londonderry name dispute
I've somewhat been following suit lately of making sure names comply to wikipedias Derry/Londonderry name agreement lately. If you have a look at this page, it shows all the pages that link to the article Londonderry, which is just a redirect to Derry. Basically, all these Londonderry links (for the most part, unless the article is talking about it being first named Londonderry), should be changed to Derry, although more end up there quite often, thought you might be interested in giving me a hand on it. Boxrec.com page regarding the John Duddy issue
I am having problems with another user called Oswald35 on the Boxrec.com page here - I have done a section on why Boxrec.com lists Duddy as British but he keeps deleting it and has now broken the 3RR. Can you please look into it?
- I'll take a look. Who is this by the way? (Derry Boi 14:06, 13 October 2006 (UTC))
Dear Derry Boi---
I'm pasting to you what I did to another long-time editor about this issue:
Pauric---If I am out of line by adding this I apologize as I am new and do not know how to work the site and I'm just doing what I can to be heard, but I apologize if this is poor etiquette. As to the issue that Beaumontproject speaks of...I have already sent two e-mails to wiki administrators several hours ago about the issue. Please do look into it though if you have power to do something about it.
Beaumontproject continues to post criticism that is complete nonsense that he bases on an argument that he and another pal had from an internet message board which they now have a grudge against, which anyone with any research knowledge knows that a flame war from an internet message board is not a valid source.
Another editor and myself have tried several times to explain to Beaumontproject that an argument from an internet message board is not a valid source yet they continue to ignore that.
Being that you know the difference can you enlighten Beaumontproject that an arguement, or anything from an internet message board is not a valid source...he will not listen to me, or another editor about it, but since he has seeked your help then maybe you can let him know what is and what isn't a valid source!
Now the rules of the site state that editors should discuss and try to come to an agreement, but Beaumontproject and Vintagekits are only interested in posting the bogus criticism claim that got them banned from another site instead of listening to what we tried to tell them...that an argument from an internet message board is not a valid source and has no business being presented as fact. The page is http://en.wikipedia.org/Boxrec.com which it is normal now as I deleted the criticism claim. Though I'm sure that we could probably use the stats for boxrec that is up on the Boxrec mediawiki page as it does what wiki does and describes the site...but it doesn't list any beef, which is what Beaumontproject wants to continue to post. As I said I sent two e-mails to wiki administrators several hours ago, but if you can do something a lot of people, including myself, would be grateful. Again, I apologize if I am contacting you in the wrong manner.
I'm not the person above who did not leave his name, but his handle is Beaumontproject.
I would be glad to have an arbitration about the issue.--Ozzwald35 14:29, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

Historical reference to City of Derry/Londonderry
Hi, sorry to drop this message onto your page but I'm trying to invoke a discussion on the WP:IMOS page as to what to use for the historical references to the city of Derry/Londonderry. I am trying to obtain a non-POV neutral discussion over what terminology to use for this or whether the IMOS as it stands should indeed cover this. Since you have been involved in discussions over Derry or County Londonderry and the likes in the past I thought you may like to get involved in the discussion. See the appropriate talk to get involved. Thank you for your time. Ben W Bell talk 16:15, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
Requested template
Hi i noticed your request here , next time dont be afraid to ask me as i've created the majority of gaa templates and it no trouble for me . User:Gnevin/sandbox9 here is the template if that ok let me know and i'll go ahead and create it (Gnevin 19:36, 13 November 2006 (UTC))

Seamus Heaney
We're wondering over at Talk:Seamus Heaney whether he's ever used "Séamas/Séamus Ó hEighnigh" himself, and Google doesn't turn up any results for either spelling. I noticed it was yourself who added it in originally; can you let us know where you sourced this name? Thanks! Demiurge 13:33, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
- If you know anything about the Irish language you will know that that is the correct spelling/s for Seamus Heaney. Vintagekits 15:10, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
