Welcome to Misplaced Pages Hello, Andrzejbanas/Archive 7, and welcome to Misplaced Pages! Misplaced Pages is one of the world's fastest growing internet sites. Good work
Hi Andrzejbanas, I noticed you've been doing good work in film and music articles especially in infoboxes. By the way, you've added a lot of release dates - what source are you using? For Eraserhead, you changed the US release date from 1977-03-17 to 1977-03-19; I found web sources for both dates. —Quarl 2006-08-13 04:29Z
- Hi Quarl!
I've been using www.allmovie.com, www.metacritic.com, and www.imdb.com for information on movie release dates.
I try to double check them with official websites if I can, i've discovered that allmovie.com isn't terribly reliable for older film release dates (e.g: Having "The Cabinet of Dr.Caligari" released in 1919).
:) thanks for the possitive comments.
I'm not terribly sure how to sign these off. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Andrzejbanas (talk • contribs)- For dates probably few people will care, but if you add contentious information you should cite where you got it from (see WP:CITE). You can type ~~~~ to sign your name. —Quarl 2006-08-13 09:14Z
New Video Game Article
Hey! I saw that you created a new video game related article- consider joining the Computer and Video Games WikiProject! I have added your article to the list of new articles, and attributed it to you. --PresN 19:43, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
Unspecified source for Image:Usa-band.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Usa-band.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Misplaced Pages (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Misplaced Pages:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Misplaced Pages:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Misplaced Pages:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. feydey 15:16, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
LSB vs. Orange tally
Andrzejbanas, thanks for your participation on the WP:ALBUMS infobox template revision effort. In particular, I would like to thank you for your involvement in the discussion on switching from orange to lightsteelblue for studio albums.
The poll is now closed, and the consensus indicates strong support for switching from orange used on the template studio albums to lightsteelblue.
Thanks again for taking the time to participate; it is indeed most appreciated. --Cheers, Folajimi (leave a note) 16:19, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
Broken Infobox
For reasons unknown, the Infobox for Joseph Byrd is no longer rendering properly. Have tried republishing...all prior versions are also broken...so I'm at a loss. Perhaps you know the scripting guru that makes these...thanks. Tvccs 15:19, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
- The history shows it was fixed...although...I'm still not sure how...may have been a wiki coding issue...but...and thanks for the note. Tvccs 17:33, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
Monster Movies
Hi there, I see you've created a category for monster movie. I've been working on science fiction film re-categorisation for the last couple of weeks. I just wanted to run it by you, rather than just start a CfR, other categories tend to use the work "films" rather than "movies". I just wondered how you felt about changing Monster movies to Monster films to be consistent? Mallanox 00:44, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for the reply. I agree, monster movies is a very widely used term but perhaps a little idiosyncratic! I'm glad you're in agreement, I'll see if I can get it speedy-renamed. Mallanox 22:19, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
Neat
That last edit you did to the Motorhead page and the image you uploaded for it are pretty neat, thanks. --Alf 19:16, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
Flavor Flav
Thanks for your elp in controlling vandalism on this page. Can you please visit the discussion page of the Flavor Flav article? I need help explaining the rules of wikipedia to these kids. Thanks Gamer83 01:48, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
Curtis Mayfield
Please do not delete the Rolling Stone magazine reviews for Curtis Mayfield. Buy.com contains only one-sentence excerpts of reviews from the magazine, but the links I've put in contain the entire original Rolling Stone review. The buy.com comments could be in ADDITION to the Rolling Stone reviews, but please stop REPLACING the reviews. Thank you. Srsrsr 16:53, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
License tagging for Image:Huskerduband.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Huskerduband.jpg. Misplaced Pages gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Misplaced Pages, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
Curtis Mayfield
Sorry if I was a bit rude in my message to you, and thanks for your response. Srsrsr 18:36, 24 October 2006 (UTC) For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Misplaced Pages:Media copyright questions. 15:06, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
Image:Egyptianlover.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Egyptianlover.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Misplaced Pages articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. – Quadell 20:33, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

Image tagging for Image:Combatatarigamepack.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Combatatarigamepack.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Misplaced Pages's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Candlelight Records
You wrote: Hiya Lonewolf BC.
Why did you put up a lack of notability? The label hosts popular bands that have been reviewed in several major music magazines. Plus every wikipedia album page has links to music labels, so suggesting this link isn't it important would create a lot of deadlinks. I'd consider it notable. Andrzejbanas 05:37, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
- I read the notability requirements, and looked at the information given on the page, and based on that Candlelight didn't look notable to me. I've never heard of it before. I'm not saying that proves anything about its notability, but if it is notable then I can't tell that from the information given about it -- and neither can anyone else who is unfamiliar with it. If you think Candlelight meets the guidelines, by all means add to the article the information that shows it meets them. -- Lonewolf BC 08:32, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
Mantronix article help much appreciated!
Thanks for the idea on fixing that graphic on the Mantronix page (Remixed & Rare album cover). The fix seems to have worked out fine. Thanks again & check out the talk pages on both the Mantronix and Kurtis Mantronik articles to add your input! Sundevilesq 21:27, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
