On August 10th, 2019, a gunman injured 1 congregant at the Al-Noor Islamic Centre in Bærum, Norway before being subdued by other congregants. The suspect is believed to be a "young, white man". At the time of the shooting there were only 3 people in the mosque. The gunman killed a family member before going to the mosque.
