Stephen Richard McGee (born September 27, 1985 in Round Rock, Texas) is the current starting quarterback for Texas A&M University.
High School Career
McGee was a three-year starter at quarterback for Class 3A Burnet High School, leading his team to a combined record of 36-5 (36 wins, 5 losses), including a 28-2 mark as a junior and senior (in both of those seasons he led his team to the Texas 3A state finals). He did not throw a single interception in the during the entire 2003 regular season. He finished his high school career with 8,256 passing yards and a 3A state-record 101 passing touchdowns. McGee was a two-time all-state selection and was named the 3A Offensive Most Valuable Player after his senior year. He also played basketball and track and field, earning all-district honors in both. An excellent student, McGee was Burnet’s No. 1-ranked student-athlete and graduated 9th in his senior class of over 250.

2005 Season
He played his first game for Texas A&M on September 72005 against Southern Methodist University completing 3/3 for 56 yards. His next appearance was in Texas A&M's 40-21 loss to the Colorado Buffaloes on October 8, 2005 where he 9/15 for 112 yard with 2 carries for 15 yards. He was 3/3 for 32 yards with 3 carries for 13 yards in Texas A&M's win against Oklahoma State, but 0/2 with 1 carry for no yardage in Texas A&M's loss against Iowa State, 0/1 with 1 carry for 12 yards in the loss to Texas Tech, and 0/6 with 10 carries for 67 yards in the loss to Oklahoma.
McGee took over at QB for the final two games of the season because of an injury to starter Reggie McNeal. In those games, McGee rushed for 175 yards on 34 carries (5.1 per carry) and completed 9-of-29 passes for 83 yards, while leading the Aggies to 10 scoring opportunities on 19 drives. For the season, McGee completed 24-of-53 passes for 283 yards and two touchdowns and one interception in eight games. He rushed for 235 yards and two touchdowns on 43 carries (5.5 average).
2006 Season
As of November 252006, McGee has passed for 2118 yards (11 TD, 2 INT) and rushed for 635 more with 4 rushing TDs. He has started all 12 games for Texas A&M and led the team to a 9-3 record. On November 242006, he led the Aggies to a 12-7 victory over the rival Texas Longhorns with a rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter.
For the regular season, McGee completed 61.7% of his passes with a 7.4 yard average, while rushing for an average of 4.6 yards per play.
