Angus Young (born March 31 1955 in Glasgow Scotland) is the co-founder and lead guitarist of the Australian hard rock band AC/DC. Young and his family moved to Australia where he and his brother Malcolm played in a few rock bands before they founded AC/DC in 1973.
After wearing various costumes on stage (including Superman), Angus Young followed a suggestion from his sister and began wearing his Ashfield Boys' High school uniform on stage, which has become one of the trademarks of AC/DC. During live shows, he would clamber on singer Bon Scott's shoulders and they would make their way through the audience with smoke streaming from a satchel on Angus' back while he played an extended solo. Even in later years, Angus Young is notorious for his intense moves and jumps onstage.
