A Gray State is a 2017 documentary film directed by Erik Nelson and executive produced by Werner Herzog, first broadcast on the A&E Network. It explores the theme surrounding Masonic murders, kidnapping, government corruption and satantic ritual abuse. The heavily censored and modified version of the film available tells deflective and misleading story of Crowley's military service in the Middle East, his efforts to fund and make a film, and explores the circumstances surrounding the deaths. Ultimately everything was scrubbed and scapegoated an Islamic extremist. The entirety of the movies production was halted and silenced and reconstrued to smear his name. There currently stands the looming state if injustice surrounding the case. Producer Herzog and director Nelson had previously worked together on 2005's Grizzly Man, which Nelson produced, and Herzog directed.
