The Tennessee gubernatorial election of 2006 was held on November 7, 2006. Incumbent Democratic governor Phil Bredesen, defeated Republican State Senator Jim Bryson in a landslide to win a second term as Governor of Tennessee, winnning every county in the state.
As of 2025, this is the most recent election in which a Democrat won any statewide race in Tennessee, and the last time a Democrat won a majority of counties in the state.
