Hank Parker's Outdoor Magazine is an American half-hour outdoor fishing television series hosted by former professional tournament angler Hank Parker. The show made its debut in syndication on January 12, 1985. The show was created in 1984 by Hank Parker and Michael Runnels. The show was produced first by Parker/Runnels Productions from 1985 to 1998, and then, by Hank Parker Productions from 1998-present.
Format
During each half-hour segment, Hank Parker gives you the scoop on catching a fish, as well as inviting guests to share some of the most outdoor fishing adventures. Guests included Frank O. Hill, Larry Bird, Dale Earnhardt, Bryan White, the Parker kids, and others. Each episode also featured a segment called "Kids Korner", and was sponsored by Mercury Outboards. This segment featured the Kids Korner kids giving their fishing tips and techniques. The theme music was composed by William A. Landers, who is known for using the "do, do, do, do, do, do" part. Another segment of the show called "Tip of the Week", where Hank tells the viewer on giving fishing tips, and "Tricks of the Trade", where Hank gives the scoop on fishing tricks.
