See Misplaced Pages:New pages patrol/Reviewers for the granting guidelines. Applicants should show some evidence that they generally meet the guidelines outlined there, have a demonstrated need for the right, and that they have read and fully understood the tutorial at Misplaced Pages:New pages patrol.
I'm requesting this as I'm long-time trustworthy editor that doesn't want to lose the right to be able to see the "" link, as I occasionally "manually" patrol new pages in the course of my editing. Let me be clear – I have no intention of becoming a New Page Patrol "regular" (I do sometimes check the New Pages list, but not very often...), nor do I intend to use Page Curation. But we shouldn't be removing the ability to "spot-check" new articles from long-time regular editors, esp. those of us who occasionally come across new articles as part of our work for various WikiProjects (e.g. I sometimes come across new articles as part of WP:TV or WP:FILMBIO or even WP:TRAINS editing...). Anyway, I meet the qualification criteria, and I understand the "" link will soon be disappearing for the rest of us, so I'll go ahead and request this now. --Vivek ji12309:46, 06 November 2020 (UTC)
Not done Sorry, your track record of article creation and lack of participation in deletion discussions do not suggest that you are sufficiently familiar with notability guidelines to receive the new page reviewer permission at this time.
As a side note, I'm afraid that I can't find a track record of you having marked any pages as patrolled, could you point me at an example of one? signed, Rosguill04:52, 6 March 2020 (UTC)
Hi, I'm User:Pbritti and I'd love to help with the influx of articles being added to English Misplaced Pages. I've looking at a lot of the various "behind-the-scenes" conversations many users are having regarding the high rate of article creation. I have recently published several articles that have been stuck in the purgatory of being unreviewed. While I know I can't do much about those, I would love to help others avoid that bothersome uncertainty of whether their article will be accepted. Misplaced Pages is a wonderful resource and if there's a way to expand it while avoiding adding those articles created for malicious and commercial purposes, I'm here to help. Thanks! Not done, your enthusiasm is appreciated, but I'm not seeing a track record (whether through significant participation in deletion discussions, in other deletion protocols like PROD or CSD, at Articles for creation, or in article creation) that would let me assess your familiarity with the relevant guidelines and policies. I would suggest either participating more in those parts of Misplaced Pages and building up a record of relevant work, or signing up for WP:NPPSCHOOL to get a structured primer in the relevant guidelines and policies. signed, Rosguill02:11, 13 March 2020 (UTC)
Hi there, I've participated in multiple WP:AFD discussions and show a clear understanding of guidelines. I would like to review new articles as I have noticed there are not nearly enough reviewers and I would like to help. Bᴇʀʀᴇʟʏ • ∕What have I been doing20:27, 12 March 2020 (UTC)
Hi! User:Barkeep49 kindly trusted me with a 30 day reviewing trial a while back, and if I'm not mistaken that period culminated today. Would love to know if my brief experience lived up to the task, and if so I would be very happy to continue learning and hopefully improving the encyclopedia as a whole! Thank you, PK650 (talk) 01:59, 13 March 2020 (UTC)
Done, there's a few calls that I disagree with which I'll follow up with you on your talk page about, but overall between your review work and your participation at AfD I see enough good work to justify conferring the permission. signed, Rosguill02:26, 13 March 2020 (UTC)

Was invited by Insertcleverphrasehere. Offering to pitch in to see if this is a place where I can help improve Misplaced Pages. I have (very) limited page-creation experience, but have been editing for 9 years, take part in AfDs from time to time, and am certainly capable of following the flowchart at WP:NPP.
