Byrd is part of the Henrico County iBook program. Each student in the school gets an iBook G4 several weeks after school opens. The filters on the iBooks have received harsh backlash form the students. They are known to block things they shouldn't, such as websites students want to access for educational purposes. Harry Flood Byrd Middle School is a public middle school in Henrico County, Virginia. It is located at 9400 Quioccasin Road. It teaches grades six, seven, and eight.
