"How You Like That" is a song by South Korean girl group Blackpink. It was released on June 26, 2020, through YG Entertainment and Interscope Records, as the first pre-release single from the group's upcoming debut Korean-language studio album, set for release in September 2020. Teddy co-wrote the track with Danny Chung, and its producers Teddy, R. Tee and 24. Its music video currently holds the record of being the most streamed music video premiere in YouTube with 1.66 million views. Upon its release on YouTube, the music video garnered 86.3 million views in its first 24 hours, breaking the record for the most views in its first 24 hours of release. It also broke the records for fastest video to reach 100 million views on YouTube, doing so in just 32 hours and fastest video to reach 200 million views, doing so in just 7 days. According to member Jisoo in the prologue of their upcoming reality series 24/365 with Blackpink, the song is a move from previous ‘powerful’ music, citing it as more ‘swag’.
Background and release
On May 4, 2020, it was reported that the group had finished recording for their new album, and were working on a schedule to shoot a music video later that month. On May 18 of the same year, the group's Korean label, YG Entertainment, shared an update on the project, projected for a June 2020 release, revealing more than 10 songs for their first full-length album. On June 10, 2020, YG posted the teaser poster to the pre-release single on all social media platforms, revealing the date for the single to be June 26. Three days later, YG Entertainment released a prologue of the group's newest reality show, 24/365 with Blackpink, ahead of its launch on July 4th , via YouTube. The show will document their comeback alongside sharing their lives through vlogs.
On June 15, YG Entertainment posted individual posters of the members. The next day another teaser posters were revealed with the name of the pre-release single "How You Like That". Another teaser photos were released on June 17. Concept videos featuring the members were released on June 18 and 19. Concept photos were revealed on June 20, and the teaser concept video was released a day later. The official group teaser poster was revealed on June 22. The music video teaser was released on June 24. The song officially premiered on June 26, 2020, after an hour long live countdown.
Music video
The music video for "How You Like That" is directed by Seo Hyun-seung, who previously directed "Ddu-Du Ddu-Du" and "Kill This Love". Its music video currently holds the record of being the most streamed music video premiere in YouTube with 1.66 million views. It later went on to become YouTube's most viewed video in its first 24 hours, where they racked over 86.3 million views in said timespan – a record they still hold. The music video also became the fastest music video in YouTube history to hit 100 million views, doing so in around 32 hours after the video's release. As of 3rd July 2020, the video has over 200 million views.

Commercial performance
On Spotify, "How You Like That" debuted at number five on the Global Spotify chart with 4.073 million streams, breaking the record for the biggest girl group debut in Spotify history, and at number ten in the US with over 762,000 streams. The next day the song rose from number five to two on the Global Spotify chart. It also racked up 40,000 additional streams in the United States, where it climbed from number ten to number eight.
