Leading University or (LU) is a private university in the Bangladesh. It is the first Government approved private university of Sylhet. This institution was founded by renowned philanthropist Mr. Ragib Ali. It was established in 2002. The another campuse of LU is located in Siddeshwari, Dhaka.
The university offers the following programs:

The university has three semesters available in a year, Spring Semester (starts in January), Summer Semester (starts in April), Fall Semester (starts in October). The duration of each semester is thirteen weeks. It also provide extra academic activities designed by its own particular club. Such as Sports Club, Cultural Activities Club, Social Service Club, Debating Club and Computer Club.
Leading University awarded gold medal to best student speakers in International conference on Applied Mathematics and Mathematical physics (ICAMMP) 2004. The event was held from 4 to 7 January, 2005 at Sylhet.
