I have an issue with wikipedia

Talk:Racism and Talk:Racism by country there is an editing gang operating on these page preventing any plural discussion of Israel and racism, there are two criterion in place where poorly constructed arguments are allowed in, but detailed arguments for inclusion of Israel are vetoed for all kinds of reasons. I believe Misplaced Pages has a duty to prevent this kind of behavior which is not only undemocratic it is dangerous. See the chain of convo on the talk page to see the impossible retort to every voice which is about Israel and racism, at least 4-5 editors in this gang pushing the same POV. Now the comments speak for themselves but i am also concerned at the editors who are admins that are part of this gang. I am also concerned that the list of people to turn to all come from one camp, there is no African voice, no Islamic Voice, no balance. I just happened to see this message due to an edit conflict, but I'll respond to it anyway. I suggest that Halawah post a request for a third opinion, rather than asking specific users to help: this ensures that one or more neutral outsiders are able to review the situation, rather than specific users invited by one side of the debate. Hey again, I'm back and (more or less) awake.

I checked out your editing history, and based on what I've seen, I'd vote to support you in an RfA on the basis that you appear to know what you're doing -- when I last participated actively in RfA a few weeks ago, !*voters were beginning to trend more toward supporting until someone demonstrated that a serious problem existed; that's what I like to see, and I think it lends you a good chance if you were to run.

So, I'm reasonably comfortable with nominating you any time you like, although I'll be away from a computer from about 24 hours from now until the 3rd of January (Australian Eastern Standard Time). Would then be convenient for you?

Before I make a final decision, though, I'd just be interested in knowing what specific admin activities you would be undertaking if you were to pass an RfA. The more specific you can be, the better: it gives me a chance to develop a good nomination for you, and will probably help some voters overlook your "low" edit counts in certain namespaces. :)

I have done this twice, there is an imbalance on this site i think wiki should try to address it. I am not that computer literate and find the help section send me in a circle. the list of admins all come from a certain POV, have a look and see, they are involved in the problem.--HalaTruth(ሀላካሕ) 05:01, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for your reply, David, and as for what areas I would be interested in? In particular, I woild be keeping a close eye on the 3RR rule which seems to be getting worse - and I also get a lot of pleas for help in that area (such as above, unless it's archived by the time you read this). Secondly, the rollback tools which make your recent changes life a lot easier would come in handy; and naturally, so so would the blocking tool.

I would also keep a hawk eye out on the Admin noticeboard, which I believe would be the most efficient way for me to perfect my sysop skills.

All in all, I just want to use the tools to keep Misplaced Pages a friendlier, more vandal-free place.

That is the problem - the user had an extremely complicated username; I've been searching the user log under "s" as well as my email but I simply cannot find any sign of the case or even the username! I'd like to extend my apologies over this - once the nominations are ended I intend to set about creating an archive system that works for the AMA. In the meanwhile, perhaps you'd like to examine my Med Cabal case? Once again, my apologies. Also, hope your exams go well (sourced from your notice placed on User:Xyrael).

Someone is out to get me - I mediated that case for the MedCabal, then for a trial run for getting onto MedCom, and now I'm commenting on a MedCom nomination related to it. Weird. Okay, looking at that case I'm not seeing a huge amount of actual advocacy, as basically Seraphim changed his mind. I don't mean to be too picky, but am I missing something there? The entire advocacy system was conducted over email, with respects to the Seri...(I can never remember the exact name :) 's wishes. If you require, I can copy over the communications, although I'll need about half an hour. Also, I believe the fact that I had to maintain a rather heavy discussion with Google is a key point; really, this is the best I can give you at the moment with regards to past cases. The reason I am looking to join MedCom is so that I can deal with more challenging and controvertial cases in a position of authority rather than just a bystander. In response to your querie sent via email regarding adding a definition, remember that Misplaced Pages is not a Dictionary; although every good article begins with a definition, aritcles that are simply a definition are liable to be deleted. If you are looking to simply add a definition, jump over to Wikitionary, the Dictionary version of Misplaced Pages.

However, if you are looking to add an article, simply type into the search bar the name of the article you want to create; if nothing comes up, then the article doesn't exit and you can create it by following the instructions provided.

I hope this helps - if you need more clarification or have any more questions, just post them here!
