Nino Valdez (Geraldo Ramos Ponciano Valdez) (December 5 1924-June 3 2001) was 1950's Cuban heavyweight boxing champion. He was a top contender for Rocky Marciano's title in early 1950's. He was never given a chance at the Rock due to his mixed fighting results. He was considered top opponent for Rocky, but lost to Archie Moore 15/15 UD on May 2 1955.
