History

Established as an online retalier in March 1999 by founder Jim Zavos, the first physical EzyDVD store opened in 2002. The main headquarters and distribution warehouse is located in Adelaide, South Australia.

Retail Stores

As of 2005 EzyDVD has 70 retail stores across Australia, the majority being franchise stores. Each store has a PC linked to the EzyDVD website to allow customers to search for titles themselves or titles not available on shelf, which the store can then order in.

Exclusive Packaging

In an effort to induce buyers to shop with them, EzyDVD carries a large number of reputed exclusives, special packaging such as backpacks and hinged boxes for large volume boxsets and tin cases for smaller sets and movies. Excluding the packaging, the DVDs themselves are the normal mainstream versions available elsewhere.
