Padahuthurai bombing happened on January 02, 2007 when Sri Lankan Airforce bombers bombed what they claimed to be rebel LTTE naval base. According to a local Roman Catholic bishop it was a fishing village and all those fourteen (14) who died were minority Sri Lankan Tamil civilians. He further termed it a Crime against humanity.
