==Prediction of teams in Last 16==

Predictions made before the final group games for the teams and positions for the Last 16 of the 2006 World Cup. My predictions were all correct except for Angola (Mexico qualified instead) and getting Ecuador and Germany the wrong way round. ie. 15 of 16 teams predicted correctly. 13 of 16 positions predicted correctly.

The results of seven of the eight games in the Round of 16 were correctly predicted. The incorrect prediction was Spain-France, which France won. Following the Round of 16 games, I drastically changed my prediction for the Semi-finals, as can be seen below.

A bold prediction here! The two South American giants to fall at the Quarter-finals stage!! An all-European Semi-finals line-up. A repeat of the England-Germany final of 1966 - could it really happen??

Hmm. I got the fall of the South American giants correct. But then that was obvious, this tournament being held in ''Europe'', that the South Americans wouldn't win. But my blindly patriotic support of England let me down: 3 of 4 quarter-final results correctly predicted.
