He joined the group in 1980 when Randy Jones left. He was born in New York City but currently resides in Connecticut. He joined the Village People after a friend informed him that a pop-group was looking for a singer/dancer. Prior to joining Village People he was the owner of a bar in Los Angeles. Today, he is on the board of directors for Sixuvus Ltd., the company formed out of Village People.
