Toltec

Sorry, but we need to follow the dates Mesoamerican chronology - which the article didn't do even before you changed it. Doug Weller talk 16:52, 28 October 2020 (UTC)

Information icon Hello, I'm Donald Albury. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Crystal River Archaeological State Park, List of pre-Columbian cultures, and Maya city have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse. Thanks.Template:Z186 Donald Albury 19:30, 27 March 2021 (UTC)

I need your help!

Hi. You want to help? Can you revert this edit here?: Hel (album) Thanks.--Filmomusico (talk) 06:17, 2 April 2021 (UTC)

@Filmomusico: Why are you asking other editors to intervene on your behalf, especially after you claimed you would follow my advice? Did you think if they reverted me I wouldn't notice? I explained my edit to you, and my edits is abiding by guidelines and template recommendations whereas yours disregards them, particularly MOS:ACCESS. Don't try and ask another editor to do this again. Ss112 06:26, 2 April 2021 (UTC)

Thanks

Thank you for self-reverting the comments you left on my talk page. - Donald Albury 13:59, 3 April 2021 (UTC)

WP:CITE

I'm not sure you know what a reference or citation is here. A reference is used to verify information added. It should be to a source outside Misplaced Pages, such as a book, journal article, website, etc.

When viewed in edit mode it will look something like thisΒ : <ref>{{Cite| title=Book name| author=John Doe| date = 1999| page=123 }}</ref>.

Those bits of extra code like <ref> and {{ make the citation appear in the references section at the bottom of a page, correctly formatted and easily usable. Different sources (books, websites, article, etc.) have slightly different bits of code, as they have different fields to include the relevant information. See here Misplaced Pages:Citation templates for templates to use for creating different kinds of citations.

Also, you can not simply copy and paste a wall of text from one article into another article. For one, there is no need to have an entire articles worth of material in another article. For another, it strips editor authorship material form the information, see Misplaced Pages:Copying within Misplaced Pages for a much better explanation. Heiro 20:14, 9 April 2021 (UTC)

I understand not to copy from other Misplaced Pages articles, yes. Epictrex (talk) 20:49, 9 April 2021 (UTC)
