Jangid is a caste in India, traditionally known for carpentry and making houses , buildings and temples.according to vedas and Hindu texts , they have their lineage from Brahmins as Jangid was the title given to Vedic Rishi Angira/Angiras who was the son of Brahma(as per puranic scriptures). They have a notable presence in the states of Haryana(in haryana known as jangra or jangra brahmin, Rajasthan and Punjab. Today, the Jangid are usually known for painting and decorative works such as making seats or chariots for religious figurines.
