Hojatoleslam Hassan Rowhani (حسن روحانی) is an Iranian politician and cleric, and as of July 2005, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council. Rowhani's membership in the council is as one of the two representatives of the Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran. He was the chief negotiator with the European countries of UK, France, and Germany over Iran's nuclear program.

Rowhani has previously been a Deputy Speaker of Majlis, as a representative from Tehran.

As of August 14, 2005, Rowhani has been replaced from his post of being the council's secretary by Ali Larijani.
