This user account is a bot operated by Jmax- (talk). It is used to make repetitive automated or semi-automated edits that would be extremely tedious to do manually, in accordance with the bot policy. The bot is currently inactive but retains the approval of the community. Administrators: if this bot is malfunctioning or causing harm, please block it. |
This is a bot run by User:Jmax-, written in Perl using WWW::Mechanize and a custom framework. It works automatically, but is issued commands manually.

- Featured article counting. Once per hour it sums up the number of featured articles and updates User:Jmax-bot/FACount.js. The bot is approved for this task. A debug page is generated at User:Jmax-bot/FACounter.
- Former featured article counting. Once per hour it sums up the number of featured articles and updates User:Jmax-bot/FFACount.js. The bot is approved for this task. It outputs a debug page at User:Jmax-bot/FFACounter.
Notes
- Commas may be added to the generated numbers with the 'formatnum:' magic word, i.e. {{formatnum: {{User:Jmax-bot/FACount.js}}}} turns the output
- redirect Template:FA number into
- redirect Template:FA number.
- .js user subpages may be edited only by the owner of the account and administrators. In the event of a bot malfunction, administrators should fully protect the subpage and revert to the last good version.
- A whitelist system is in place to prevent possible vandalism. A list of current whitelisted users can be found on the appropriate debug pages. To request to become a whitelisted user, please have a currently whitelisted user sponsor you and have them leave me a message.
