This page is for bringing attention to usernames which may be in violation of Misplaced Pages's username policy. Before listing a username here, consider if it should be more appropriately reported elsewhere, or if it needs to be reported at all:
- Report blatantly inappropriate usernames, such as usernames that are obscene or inflammatory, to Misplaced Pages:Usernames for administrator attention.
- For other cases involving vandalism, personal attacks or other urgent issues, try Misplaced Pages:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents; blatant vandalism can also be reported at Misplaced Pages:Administrator intervention against vandalism, which is sometimes a better option.
Do NOT post here if:
- the user in question has made no recent edits.
- you wish to have the block of a user reviewed. Instead, discuss the block with the blocking administrator (see also Misplaced Pages:Blocking policy § Unblocking).
Before adding a name here you MUST ensure that the user in question:
- has been warned about their username (with e.g. {{subst:uw-username}}) and has been allowed time to address the concern on their user talk page.
- has disagreed with the concern, refused to change their username and/or continued to edit without replying to the warning.
- is not already blocked.
If, after having followed all the steps above, you still believe the username violates Misplaced Pages's username policy, you may list it here with an explanation of which part of the username policy you think has been violated. After posting, please alert the user of the discussion (with e.g. {{subst:UsernameDiscussion}}). You may also invite others who have expressed concern about the username to comment on the discussion by use of this template.
Add new requests below, using the syntax {{subst:rfcn1|username|2=reason ~~~~}}.

- Comment. This anti-company name thing is almost becoming too big, and I think we should have some more discussion about it. As quoted above by Coemgenus, WP:U says "... are discouraged and may be blocked..." . That is not the same as absolutely prohibited and will be blocked. We have to look at intent with the name. In this case, my first thought of the username is not that it is a business, just some person who likes superbikes. I believe we should assume good faith. Of course, if the user starts spamming or making edits that even subtly advertise the company, then obviously the name becomes a violation of WP:U. That is not to say that we should wait for intent in all cases; some names would always be bad e.g. User:Heart and Stroke Foundation. This pursuit of finding all usernames that are also companies also becomes a slippery slope. I'm pretty sure there are many businesses called "Joe's Garage." So is User:Joe'sGarage advertising, or is he/she a Frank Zappa fan? Anyway. Comments and feedback are welcome. (note: I will cross-post this to the Talk page). - Allow per my comment above. Flyguy649contribs 19:24, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
- Allow per Flyguy649. Without any edits that suggest this person is impersonating a company or making spammy edits, I believe this should be allowed. LastChanceToBe 20:55, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
- Allow per Flyguy649. // DecaimientoPoético 21:01, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
- Allow - The name shoud be allowed but to avoid any sort of problems in the future, it would be advisable to tell the user to change his name around a bit to maybe "Wickedsupabikes"..Just my 2 cents..--Cometstyles 21:59, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
- Allow unless WP:COI issues become apparent. This username isn't necessarily linked to the business. Sam Blacketer 23:09, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

- Allow in good faith, and per my comment in Wickedsuperbikes, above. Also, on its website the company linked above styles itself as "PYO Entertainment", "PYO Entertainment International, Inc.", and "Put Yourself Out", and never as "PYO Inc." on their webpage as far as I can see. Flyguy649contribs 19:43, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
- Disallow - Because of the inclusion of "INC" which roughly means "incorporated" which are used for company names..--Cometstyles 22:02, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
- Ah, so "TINC" means "T, Incorporated"? I'd always wondered. Now, is it reasonably possible that "INC" might on occasion stand for anything else? -- Ben /HIST 06:08, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
- Allow. The company in question does not appear to promote itself as PYOINC, so I'm led to believe that User:PYOINC's name is merely a coincidence. —Psychonaut 14:19, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
- Allow - Username not necessarily affiliated with said company. 24fan24 (talk) 17:02, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

- The name of this user is the name of a well known product. Almost all of his contributions are AMD related. He could be working in AMD or something and trying to promote his company's products. --Meno25 10:11, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

- Disallow as per Meno25 and Vassyana. It's a bit like a Big Mac writing about hamburgers. Even if the user isn't associated with the company their name supports, they are promoting a product. Flyguy649contribs 14:31, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
