File:Resilient-silver.png | I, Zereshk, award this Resilient Barnstar to Striver, for whom without, the Shi'a pages of Misplaced Pages would be pitifully biased and empty.

For Striver!!! For your tireless contributions in cleaning and updating Islam related articles and introducing relavant templates for articles. :) --TruthSpreader 12:46, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
Is awarded to Striver for championing the article Family tree of Umar against the many irrational (systematic) biases that were opposed to it, including resurrecting it from deletion, and then from the jaws of deletion itself. The systematic bias of Misplaced Pages seems to be getting stronger, since legitimate articles like this are being deleted on a regular basis. May Striver and others like him turn the tide. Long quotes
“ | Naturally, the common people dont want war ... but after all it is the leaders of a country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in every country. – Hermann Göring, Nazi politician and military leader | ” |
“ | If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State. – Joseph Goebbels, Nazi Minister for Public Enlightenment and Propaganda | ” |
“ | ...in the big lie there is always a certain force of credibility; because the broad masses of a nation are always more easily corrupted in the deeper strata of their emotional nature than consciously or voluntarily; and thus in the primitive simplicity of their minds they more readily fall victims to the big lie than the small lie, since they themselves often tell small lies in little matters but would be ashamed to resort to large-scale falsehoods. It would never come into their heads to fabricate colossal untruths, and they would not believe that others could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously. Even though the facts which prove this to be so may be brought clearly to their minds, they will still doubt and waver and will continue to think that there may be some other explanation. For the grossly impudent lie always leaves traces behind it, even after it has been nailed down, a fact which is known to all expert liars in this world and to all who conspire together in the art of lying. These people know only too well how to use falsehood for the basest purposes. – Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf | ” |
